Summer Reading List

Summer Greetings from Your School Library!
The librarians of Alcott, Thoreau and Willard Schools have created this list as a resource to guide children and
their families in the selection of summer reading materials. Special attention has been given to choosing titles that are fun,
age appropriate, and reflect curriculum areas in the coming year. These titles will broaden your child's knowledge base
and help build a foundation of quality literature. Care has also been taken to include titles from
the state English Language Arts frameworks.
As a new "green" initiative, we have decided to post the summer reading lists exclusively online. Please
feel free to print them out for your own use. For best results, paste them into a word document or
print them with a landscape setting.
Parents, we hope you will enjoy sharing these titles with your children. Encourage reading for pleasure
this summer, and make books part of your summer routine.
